Hardenburg Castle

Highlight • Castle

Very nicely located and well renovated castle. The children (4 and 9 years) also liked it. The whole thing is rounded off by the Lindenklause. Very nice service and good food with fair prices.

There is nothing more to add. Great and idyllic narrow hiking trails in the pine forest. Partly steep!

The mountain owes its name to the monolith on its summit - evidently an ancient place of worship.

May 1, 2024,Klosterruine Limburg – Bismarckturm loop from Hardenburg
After 10 years we start to hike, a little bit out off condition but we managed to finish it.... great run.
After a long break, for various reasons, I was back in the Palatinate.
Beautiful, challenging tour in great weather.
The beer garden in the monastery ruins is recommended.

Successful tour with highlights, beautiful paths and good places to stop for refreshments.

Ways:
almost only forest paths and mostly narrow. Run very well, except for a piece in the ravine. We passed next to it, but it's better to stay inside.

Highlights:
- Hardenburg
- Limburg
- Bismarck Tower

A nice tour on the 2nd Advent with rain, rainbows but mostly sunshine. The Lindenklause at the Hardenburg ruins is highly recommended! Very comfortable living room, delicious food and nice staff. There was even mulled wine outside 😋😋

After the last very hot weeks and therefore rather moderate hiking, I wanted to get going again. Two castles were chosen, one of which I took a closer look at. Starting at Lindemannsruh, it went along the red dot, later along the white-blue bar downhill towards Hardenburg.
Arrived down in the valley on the outskirts, after crossing the road, we …

The weather wasn't good again, so we left Weilach early.
In fact, it stayed dry for the first 6 km and after Hardenburg, we made ourselves comfortable in the tent in front of the Lindenklause to take a rest. We continued on in light rain to Limburg, always nice, in my opinion. After Grethen then downhill to climb what feels …

Yay, it hasn't rained on Monday for a long time😫😫.....so once again a round in our area on beautiful paths and highlights worth seeing. Half the way we were lucky and the umbrella got stuck. After the lunch break he was in constant use☔️☔️☔️ ..... lots of stairs up and down... but it was nice again🤗😊

I saw a lot of mushrooms today, including green bulbous leaves and fly agarics.
