Gothic church built in the 14th century, originally part of an Augustinian monastery. Between 1536 and 1690 the church was used as a department store. From 1690 to 1945 the building served as a Protestant church. Rebuilt after severe damage in World War II.

The former monastery of the Augustinians in Chojna (Königsberg in the Neumark) was rebuilt in the years 1959 to 1965. The church in the north, a south, an east (now only fragments) and a west wing with a chapel and the cloister court, enclosed by a cloister, formed the core of the monastery.
World War II also affected the monastery church, which was rebuilt as a simple brick building. In the 1960s, the monastery church returned to its original purpose and now serves as a parish church.
