As already announced several times, I have completed my tour E017 from Lübeck Airport to Lübeck HBf.
But now with my son and we have also used this hike to end our pilgrimage week from Wismar to Lübeck. There was also a visit to the Jakobikirche to pick up our pilgrim's stamp.
The first part of the canal in particular had something special for us, as it went through the tall grass. We literally made our way through here 🤭.Lübeck itself is so diverse and interesting, and since there are already more than enough highlights here, I didn't want to run through or photograph each of them. Forgive mePART 1 of the tour can be found here:

Day four and our way continues.
What can I say? Actually still a bit speechless!
So today from Schönberg to the outskirts of Lübeck to Eichholz. Here we also cross the former border of Germany. The green ribbon! One of my future projects after the pilgrimage in the north of Germany.
Actually, yesterday I thought that was it. The calf of my wandering mouse was hard, hot and painful. Thanks to the two sticks and the tireless fighting spirit, we mastered this stage in an extremely fast time.
It was possible to use the train at kilometer 13 in Lüdersdorf, but Till-Lennard wanted to continue walking.
But we also took a lot of time for this. The recovery in between should not be neglected. So we had our first break in Schönberg for breakfast at the local Schäfer bakery. It opens at 5:30 a.m. with half a roll and delicious coffee and cocoa. That was definitely a good tip, as well as the perfect place to fortify yourself.
At kilometer 6, at the small Hofsee, it was very idyllic and also invited to rest. The detour was not actually planned, but it was very worthwhile.
But the most beautiful thing was our lunch break on the mossy forest floor shortly before the end of today's tour. The rustling of the wind and the cracking of the trees, the absolute silence from the noise of the city, actually I could have been lying down even longer. However, I was planning a culinary tour through Lübeck and so we just didn't have more time for this.Tour one: komoot.de/tour/431697643

Day three and our way today from Grevesmühlen to Schönberg. Yesterday afternoon we spent with a few organizational things like shopping & dinner but also with an open-air organ concert in the Kichengarten of the Nikolaikirche.
The night in the pilgrims' hostel was very short for me. Unfortunately, I didn't really find my way into deep sleep. But in spite of that ... we went on the longest hiking stage of this year's hiking tour.
Up to kilometer 10 it was a wonderful, relaxed tour in light summer temperatures. Unfortunately only on asphalt, but hey, there are also worse roads, so .... all good!A tiny pause at kilometer six and Sohnemann quickly pulled his support stocking over it.
Our little cuddle break at ten kilometer was very relaxing until my wandering predator noticed a sharp pain in his right calf.
From now on he struggled through the long day.
Hats off! Would I also have the fighting spirit ???
From now on we walked much more slowly, stretched a lot, smeared with magnesium cream and ice power, looked for two sticks to support and I shortened every meter that was possible for us.
In the end, I was incredibly proud of my child's battle of wills. While he ran and ran with a painful face, I was constantly looking for ways to relieve him of the Quarlen. I even thought of canceling the next tours completely, after all, health comes first.
In Schönberg itself, we were warmly welcomed, admired and admired.
Especially Till-Lennard, it was impossible to overlook how difficult it was for him to take every step. Especially without his sticks. That will now be his trademark for the next few days.
As a reward, there were freshly baked waffles with strawberries, a large portion of fried noodles and lots of pats and massages.
PS: our tour really ended at the church. Unfortunately, I accidentally ended the tour via Komoot. Unfortunately, two or three kilometers are missing in the recording but not in the picture. :-)In the church in Grevesmühlen, a number of musicians were preparing for the upcoming concert in the evening. For example, we listened to the piano playing in the first row.
The hostel itself was the Christian children's recreation room. Also here without television but equipped with many board games. So we had a spontaneous game night until we finally closed our eyes from sheer exhaustion.
      Will we run tomorrow?
Who knows ... read for yourself ...

Today day two on our tour but day one with a full backpack.
For this we traveled to Proseken by bus.
Since we had already visited the church extensively yesterday, we started straight away today in the direction of Weitendorf.
We still knew art along the hiking trail from our tour on the Fläminger Kunstwanderweg near Bad Belzig and suddenly both felt almost at home again.
Day two is still very entertaining anyway. People talk a lot like "do you remember ..." or "can you remember where the two of us ..." and we enjoyed every kilometer we made.
That will change in the next few days.
(Looking back, I was still shocked how quickly the first serious problems were waiting for us)
We enjoyed a short break in Alt Jassewitz before turning into a wonderful forest area. Here, too, we immediately had memories of our very first joint multi-day tour along the Havel. But no sooner were we out of the forest than we heard thunder from afar. That means in plain language, a thunderstorm is approaching. Unfortunately that was also announced, so we made nimble feet and looked to get to Grevesmühlen as quickly as possible or to have permanent accommodation above us, even if the lightning came. But somehow we were suddenly so fast that we were at our destination after less than four hours. Since the grumbling, thank God, also moved in a different direction, we put our hot feet in the water at Ploggensee. What a treat! At our pilgrim hostel we were warmly welcomed, instructed and received our pilgrim passes (ordered in advance) and our first stamp.Later we walked a little through the place itself. Our mission, our backpacks were too heavy and somehow we often had the same thing in there. So we went to a post office and sent 3.8 kg of unnecessary ballast home by return post! Why each pair of shoes to change, where we are currently the same size. Or the first dirty wash. We emptied our backpacks very carefully.Later that evening we had so much energy left that we even took a little evening walk. Or should I say there is no TV in the hostel and my child was bored ???Day one: komoot.de/tour/431697643

Today now day one. It's finally starting.
How long have I been looking forward to this tour and working towards it.
Thanks to a good friend, I got the idea to hike some pilgrimage routes this year. And so there was also the opportunity to plan the project with my child.
To offer him something again that is extraordinary.
The beginning of this year's "mother-child hiking tour" "from hut to hut" and from the point of view of pilgrimage actually begins in Wismar.
This year we are on the Way of St. James "via Baltica" between Wismar and Lübeck and will spend two nights in pilgrims' hostels. Sometimes not in the hotel with WiFi and TV. Simple and contemplative. Let's see how it turns out in the end. The costs for this are small donations (€ 10 per person). So why not?
Since I had been up here alone for a few days, my dad brought the child up to me.
So we used the time at the port to have lunch together and spontaneously we shot the tour of Proseken to run. This saved us the bus trip back to Wismar, where we had our overnight stay today.
So our tour started at Proseken Church.
After a short visit, we made our way to the left of the church over a field path back towards Gägelow.
In the end it was not a very nice section, but consider that this pilgrimage stage actually goes through from Wismar to Grevesmühlen.
But that would definitely have been too much for my wandering robber Till-Lennard. Almost every pilgrim supervisor recommends sharing the tour for inexperienced hikers anyway and planning it perfectly with the bus connection.
We can now highly recommend a stroll through the harbor district and the old town of Wismar. The ice cream on the archway is also sensationally delicious! As soon as we arrived at our accommodation, a huge wall of rain came up and lasted all night.
Oh yeah, that will definitely give you wet feet tomorrow!

A wonderful day is now coming to an end.
Thanks to Frank Meyer, who asked me to turn off the tour after I had secured E017 to E019 last weekend, I took the train to Timmdorfer Strand this morning.
The train connection whether from Hamburg or Lübeck is perfect.
I myself love the big water and walking barefoot on the beach. You couldn't have made me more happy with this section of the route, Frank.
Of course, my thanks also go to Jan and everyone else in the organization. I will make up for the short section between Lübeck main station and airfield that is still missing for the week when I walk here anyway on my hike from Wismar to Lübeck over the via Baltica.

Saturday, July 17th 2021 and day 2 of the relay hike through Germany."MitWandern 2021 - 3 days through Germany together"
This campaign, initiated by some hikers, will take place from July 16-18, 2021. The initiator is Jan, who had already organized a 1200 km relay hike in NRW over Whitsun 2021. He is supported in the organization by Andreas, Christoph, Frank, Jens, Joachim & Thomas.
      *******************
Today was my stage Ratzeburg - Mölln.
For organizational reasons, I shot the tour and mostly stuck to the Camino de Santiago via Scandinavica, with a few exceptions.
I was completely surprised by the beautiful and historic town center / market square Mölln.
The section Mölln to Ratzeburg (bathing area Küchensee) partly along the country road was okay. Nice is different, but it was probably up to the choice to take the Way of St. James.
Alternative hiking trails are probably more interesting.
I found the forest section from the Küchensee beautiful again. I like open forest paths and always the lake to the right, with small ascents and descents, made it very varied. My conclusion:
This area also offers numerous opportunities for hiking, relaxing and beautiful sections for long walks.

Friday the 16th of July 2021 and day 1 of the relay hike through Germany."MitWandern 2021 - 3 days through Germany together"This campaign, initiated by some hikers, will take place from July 16-18, 2021. The initiator is Jan, who had already organized a 1200 km relay hike in NRW over Whitsun 2021. He is supported in the organization by Andreas, Christoph, Frank, Jens, Joachim & Thomas.*****For this I came yesterday from the southern Berlin area and drove with the Regio 83 from Ratzeburg to Büchen this morning.
Point 7:00 a.m. my way led me directly to the Elbe-Lübeck Canal, which I had to myself as far as Güster without a soul.
Already in Siebeneichen I left the Way of St. James via Scandinavia to continue it later in Hornbek. However, I expected more from the detour through the Güster ponds. However, this was the only opportunity in an EDEKA to strengthen oneself or to get utensils for it.Overall, I am completely satisfied with my choice of tour.
Many thanks to the organizers of the campaign.
      🤩🤗
A more detailed description and control of the pictures will follow at home on Sunday.
Tomorrow there is the E 18 from Ratzeburg to Möllen.
For organizational reasons, I shared the actual stage E 17 at the Lübeck Airport train station.
I'm currently walking the piece of Ratzeburg to the airport and maybe tomorrow I'll be able to do the rest of the way to Lübeck Hauptbahnhof after the E 18 tour.
If not, I'll be there on July 29th or 30th. to complete.

Due to the heat and the already completed stage E19, I decided to split the original tour. The Lübeck Flugplatz train station was ideal for this purpose.
I will submit the section from Lübeck Hauptbahnhof to the airport next weekend.

Done, rocked, shot ..... So the short version.Five ultra march participants came together in Leipzig to complete the march together. All five crossed the finish line almost at the same time.It was finally a real march again since the long corona break.
The path was not ideal, as it was mostly through the city with lots of traffic lights.
