The Alte Börse, which is Leipzig's oldest baroque building, was built in the years 1678-1687 by Johann Georg Starcke as a trading exchange and can be found directly at the Naschmarkt.

The old trading exchange was built in the 17th century as a representative meeting place for merchants in the style of the early baroque.
The building was extensively renovated between 1992 and 1995. The people in charge placed great emphasis on the color of the facade and the window glazing in the style of the 17th century.
Today the hall is used in a variety of ways, mainly for musical and literary events, scientific and specialist lectures, company presentations and conferences, festive receptions and private celebrations.
