28th wedding anniversary of the Hei² - what does a Komootler do - he hikes a short distance. Unfortunately without the hiking beagle - she is no longer so resilient at her age and spared herself. Not far from the house, the Ant Pit is always a nice place to go. The Leimbach spring can also be used well at these temperatures. All in all, a nice, entertaining excursion in the Siegerland hiking region.

A relay hike through NRW at Whitsun - a good idea in this "poor social contact" time - at least the imaginary relay baton could be taken over and handed over in the dry. The weather held up - the rain break was used. Thanks to Büchi for the idea and the organization.

A mini tour for Emely - it was also cold and wet and the "little" Sparky still has to be trained.

Get the Hohler Landbier from the small brewery in Olpe-Hohl and also various groceries from the Siele farm shop in the immediate vicinity. The hike is more strenuous than it looks. The sometimes short but violent climbs are interesting and doable, but you should pay attention to the weather here. This hike offers a beautiful area with a few surprises ... and once again combined with a visit to the farm shop - the cinnamon rolls there are recommended - the cheese and eggs also make a good impression (now just have to be eaten).Opening times sales of Hohler Landbier:
      Wednesday 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
      Friday 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Please note: Both farm shops are easy to reach on the outward or return journey, as they are on the way. Please note the opening times, as the Scharf organic farm is not open that often.Irlenhof!

The self-service shop is still open daily from 9 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. (winter months until 6 p.m.).
Our self-service farm shop has been open for you every day since December 8th, 2012. Here you can also get fresh eggs, potatoes, some sandwiches or frozen meat on public holidays or Sundays. The choice is limited here, however.
At the end of 2015 we then opened our farm shop with service and advice. Four days a week we offer fresh meat, sausage products and raw milk cheese from the fresh food counter, homemade jams and jellies, frozen meat, seasonal vegetables, honey, apple juice, handicraft items, homemade egg noodles and much more. All meat products come from our own animals and are handcrafted for you by our butcher. (It happens that our supplies run out unexpectedly. We ask for your understanding. "Source:
..... and Biohof Scharf biohofscharf.deThe hike is in the area of the Kindelsberg - for those who do not know the region very well - look at the Krombacher label and you will see the Kindelsberg tower as a landmark.Unfortunately there were a lot of spikes again during the hike - deviations in the measurement. Therefore the KM information is not correct - it is lower (approx. 16 KM). These measurement errors are very common at the moment.

Combine the useful with hiking - when are the times better than now?
For this reason, more and more farm shop hikes are being discontinued.
The first hike is near the Rothaarsteiges. Started at the Roth family's farm shop Birkenhof birkenhof-siegerland.de/joomla/index.php/hofladen_menue/hofladen.
Please note the opening times (see above).
The offer is varied and fresh - a clear recommendation. You can combine it with a great hike below and (if desired) also on the Rothaarsteig with its many hiking highlights.

Why wander far away, the good is so close. Without a journey, just set off and you have once again experienced how beautiful the Sieger (hiking country) is. It's nice that our hiking beagle still manages such a route - 14 years and twice jumped from the "rainbow bridge" - and still active and wagging her tail. What more do you want? The hike also bluntly showed how bad our forests are - every tree is worth preserving. The animals hardly have any cover left. In some areas you have the feeling that there are more high seats than tall trees. It is noticeable how nature suffers - here man has a responsibility.

The legend of the holy Born near AlpePosted by hvvadmin-alt
      Monday, November 30, -0001
In the village of Alpe not far from Marienhagen, a large village pond with an earth wall in front of it still reminds of an old moated castle, the last remains of the foundation wall are said to have been visible a generation ago.
This castle was owned by the Count von der Heid, who owned seven permanent estates. The lord of the castle was obsessed with a wild passion for hunting, for whom nothing was better than forest and game, and who even on Sundays, when the farmers attended the church service in Marienhagen, pursued the hunt, let the Hifthorn sound merrily and hunted deer, deer and wild boars. His wife often had to accompany him on his hunting expeditions through the green meadows on a white tent.On a Sunday morning, when the Marienhagen bells had just rung, it was fortunate that the count's hunter would hit his wife in the chest instead of a roebuck. The unfortunate woman sank from her horse to the forest floor with a cry, and the red blood seeped through her dress into the green moss. Then the desperate archer pulled his hair, knelt down next to his dead pale wife and called on God and all the saints for help.Suddenly someone patted him on the shoulder from behind, and when the count looked around in amazement, he saw an old dwarf who looked at him insistently but with benevolent eyes and said: “If you make holy promises, not on from today To chase quiet Sunday, I want to show you a fountain that gives miraculous water. Wash the wound with it and let your wife drink from it, and she will get well. "Seriously and solemnly the count made the vow, and the dwarf led him to a nearby spring which rose from a dent in the bushes. He quickly filled his hunting horn with the precious liquid, gave his wife a drink and carefully washed the wound, which immediately stopped bleeding. Farmers returning home from church carried the countess back to the Alper Burg, and she soon recovered.
Emely gave everything - drank every water that Born might have found - let's see if it works. The tour eats nicely, sometimes the paths were walked twice, but the panoramic views that are possible here are captivating.
