The largest planetarium in Saxony-Anhalt is the most modern planetarium in Europe with its technical equipment and its content concept. After the old planetarium on the Peißnitzinsel was destroyed during the 2013 flood, a new building has now been built in the former gasometer on the Holzplatz / Salineinsel.
