The Roman Catholic Church stands high above Donnerskirchen on a fortified plateau and overlooks the entire area. It is dedicated to St. Martin of Tours and is a listed building. The dark red onion dome and the Way of the Cross leading up to the church, which is flanked by 14 portraits of stations, are particularly beautiful.

Today's parish church, consecrated in 1680, was built on the foundations of a medieval church, which today is only reminiscent of a small Gothic opening on the outer staircase to the organ.
History:
Early Christian place of worship. Nothing certain is known about the establishment of the medieval parish. Theory: Stephanspfarre (997-1038), the St. Martin's patronage would also indicate this - mostly an indication of a very old parish. The parish was first mentioned in a document in 1437.
