Today we took a leisurely morning walk along the Liesing. We saw some birds, but couldn't photograph them with our phones. Our friends, the deer, also greeted us - but not as close as in the ZFH, so no photos. We really enjoyed the quiet time. It was a great start to the day.

Since it was drizzling this morning, we decided to visit a museum. We opted for the Wien Museum at Karlsplatz. With its unique collection of high-quality artworks and historical exhibits, the Wien Museum at its main location on Karlsplatz offers insights into the city's history. The city museum was built

Today we wanted to observe the birdlife in Kurpark Oberlaa. We were able to send many reports, but the walk felt like a winter hike. 7 degrees, dense clouds and Sahara sand plus icy wind - this cannot be considered a spring walk. Well-ventilated, we looked forward to going home.

Today we used the morning to check on the birds in the ZFH again to report them to the bird observatory. It was quite chilly and I would have liked to have gloves on. But early in the morning, when it is still quiet in the ZFH, you are rewarded with great sightings. I couldn't capture all of them with

Today we participated in an interesting guided tour about crime scenes in Vienna. There were crime scenes and events that we can remember - such as the OPEC raid or the Lucona case. But also older crimes dating back to the 1500s. Some things were familiar to us, others we had heard before, and some were

Today we took advantage of the not-so-sunny and warm weather to visit the Easter market in the Hirschstetten flower gardens. It is not comparable to the Christmas market, but the spring flowers in the outdoor area are great. We then went to the Hirschstetten pond. The birdlife was very reserved. All

The Red Fort of Agra is a well-preserved fortress built of red sandstone. Since 1983, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage site. Only two kilometers away from the world-famous Taj Mahal, it is the second most popular highlight in the Indian city. Because the fort is often confused with the Red Fort in

The Taj Mahal in Agra is considered one of the modern wonders of the world and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. It was built on the occasion of the death of the Persian princess Arjumand Bano Begum, the wife of the Great Mughal. He wanted to honor her with a tomb the world had never seen before

On the way to Agra, we visited the Itimad-ud-Daula Mausoleum, also called the Baby Taj Mahal. The tomb was built between 1622 and 1628. It was commissioned by a woman for her father. It is the model for the Taj Mahal. We were very impressed.

Today I took out my walking poles for the first time this year and went for a leisurely round. Trying to photograph butterflies with a mobile phone is a challenge, especially when you also have poles in your hands. There were hardly any people on the Donauinsel and I really enjoyed the round.
