At the end of the Holhweg there is a small chapel at the fork in the road - the Mariahilferkreuz. At the time of the grape harvest, the farmer Andreas Erber came to this cart path with the "Laord", the full mash barrel on the cart. His wife was in a good position. A thunderstorm rose over the Grünewald, the weather was bad, there was lightning and thunder and heavy rain. The horses shied and went through, the woman was thrown off. In his distress, the farmer pleaded with Maria for protection and help. As if by a miracle, the farmer and his wife survived unharmed. As a thank you, they built the wayside chapel.
