The source was taken by the city of Wunsiedel in 1930 at 915 meters with granite stones as "Rösla". This is where the 44 km long Röslau hiking trail begins, which was laid out in 1980 by the Fichtelgebirge Association. The lake trail from Weißenstädter See to Fichtelsee leads past the source.

The best source of natural spring water for refreshment on the way is the Rößlaquelle - probably one of the most beautiful springs in the Fichtelgebirge.
