The Zinnschützweiher is an artificial pond two kilometers west of Leupoldsdorferhammer. It is 663 meters high at the foot of the sea hill. The historic water dam, which is filled by several small streams, is located in one of the oldest tin mining areas in the Fichtelgebirge, documented since 1481. With its water, the tin ore was washed out of the ground in the tin soaps down the stream, a process known as soaping.

Very beautiful, idyllic forest pond (not for swimming!) With a nice bench.
