"The grazing concept that has existed in the Leinbach valley since 1999 was a pilot project to maintain the 'Natura 2000' open land biotopes in the Leinbach valley through extensive mixed grazing. Scottish highland cattle regularly graze the pastures and also loosen the soil. This counteracts the overgrowth of the landscape."
