This is one of over 300 knight's stones of the Palatinate Forest Association.
This knight's stone (with a spelling error) is located just outside of Waldleiningen, directly on country road 504, and points to the small forest pond "Seewoog" on the opposite side of the road.

This forest pond "was created in the 19th century and served as a reservoir for the Triftholz." Source (quoted verbatim): waldleiningen.de/html/natur-erleben.html

The Woog later served "as a fire pond and was leased by the state to anglers and fishermen. Today it is a popular hiking destination."

The knight's stone "Seewog" (knight's stone no. 138) is located on the western outskirts of Waldleiningen and south of the country road 504 in the direction of the federal road 48. It is located opposite the pond of the same name at the foot of the northern Schlossberg slope.
