NN in Glasbachtal at the end of a long ridge on a steeply sloping plateau in the district Diemerstein Frankenstein in the Palatinate in Rhineland-Palatinate. The exact date of construction and the name of the builder of the Diemerstein is unknown. In 1216 Rudegar von Dimarstein first called a nobleman who named himself after the castle.
