The last hike in 2023 took my mother and me from the Rote Hohl to the Rahnfels and then to the Schlosseck ruins, the Palatinate "Stargate". From there we went through the Pfaffental back up to the Rote Hohl.
We made optimal use of the short interim high. After the hike we had a delicious meal at the hunting lodge in Höningen.
