The Bavarian State Chancellery is the official residence of the Minister-President and the center of the Bavarian government. The historic building was rebuilt after the war and modernly expanded in 1993.

From 1900 to 1905, Ludwig von Mellinger built the then Army Museum in the Italian High Renaissance with a monumental dome based on the neighboring residence. The construction costs amounted to 2 million marks. During the Second World War, mainly the side wings were destroyed. The current side wings were completed in 1993 in a glass / steel construction.

I can still remember when the old army museum was rotting away. But now it is a great combination of modern architecture and old stock. Very nice park by the way.
