Mountain climbing in Hamburg? It's possible on the bunker in Feldstrasse, but the "summit" is only 58 meters above the starting level and can be reached in a few minutes. The people who built the bunker therefore confidently called the way up the "mountain path". 335 steps and longer straight galleries lead up around the bunker; the path is 560 meters long. Every meter is under video surveillance to prevent vandalism. On the opening weekend at the beginning of July 2024, 25,000 visitors climbed Hamburg's new summit, and since then an average of around 4,000 people have come every day. Since the mountain path spirals around the bunker, you have fantastic views of Hamburg in all directions.
