At the end of my spring vacation, I went to the multifaceted north-east of Hamburg. From Buckhorn it went on (un) known paths through NG Heidmoor, along the Lottbek and Bredenbek through the NSG Rodenbeker Quelltal, a bit along the Oberalster and further into the NSG Hainisch-Iland. Three completely different nature reserves that you should visit ;-).The 15 km long hike ended in Bergstedt and I will certainly be drawn to this area again ;-).

In April weather I went on a circular hike on May 1st from Handeloh via Wesel, Wehlener Heide and along the Seeve. It was a hike to my liking: forest, water and heather on mostly varied paths / paths. And sometimes there wasn't a soul to be seen far and wide, so pure relaxation :-).

This afternoon we went from the Mittleren Landweg to the Dove Elbe - Eichbaumsee - Tatenberger Schleuse - Kaltehofe - Entenwerder Park to Borgfelde. The weather was a bit cloudy, but there was no water from above. I was on this route for the first time in the spring and I was surprised by the number of birds there - especially in the area of the former wooden harbor and the adjoining compensation areas.

The fruit blossom is only partly in progress, despite all of this I paid a visit to an area of the Hamburg part of the Altes Land today. From Neuenfelde it went over the dykes to Francop and among other things on the edge of the Moorgürtels to Neuwiedenthal.Oh yes, I could also "hike" the moors between Buxtehude and Neugraben ;-).

Such beautiful holiday weather should be used for outdoor activities - especially if you are on vacation this week.
Since the Alsterwanderweg, but also the NSG Rodenbeker Quellental on the weekends and the hotspots of Hamburgers looking for relaxation, I went on a small but very relaxing hike starting from Poppenbüttel along the Alster and through the Rodenbeker Quellental to Ohlstedt.

Once again it was time to pay a visit to Lauenburg and the NSG Hohes Elbufer - and this in beautiful and sunny hiking weather :-). The well-preserved historic houses along Lauenburger Elbstraße are really worth seeing and some have information boards about their origins. From the NSG Hohes Elbufer one gets a wonderful view over the here contemplative Elbe. The section along the Elbe between Tesperhude and Geesthacht is increasingly frequented by Leuds, but still has a great recreational factor.Along the entire route, benches, but also deadwood trees along the wayside invite you to linger and relax. This is my third time on this track, but it will certainly not be the last.

Today too we went to the old country. My favorite starting point for this is the Este barrage. On the crest of the dike, which is not overly frequented at lunchtime, and further along the local orchards or orchards on the district road to Borstel with its former mill and the small museum harbor.

On the way to the Estedeich it went through Jork with its typical Altländer house architecture. Although this route leads along a relatively busy road to the Estedeich, it didn't affect my mood.
For this I was rewarded with a nice and relaxing route on the Estedeich to the Estebogen destination.A 17.5 km long hike, which in my opinion has its special charm in every season.

I used yesterday's sunny day for a hike from Buxtehude through the Neukloster Wald to Horneburg. It went along various bodies of water and through larger forest areas, past a Jewish cemetery, a tumulus and a cemetery. A 2.5 km long section also along the B 73.In short: it was a multifaceted and relaxing hike in an area practically unknown to me.

Since, surprisingly, there was no permanent shower from above today, I went on a short hike through the Hamburg cityscape this afternoon, partly along the 2nd green ring. From Klein Flottbek we went along the unfortunately currently closed Loki Schmidt Garden and past the Ziegelteich via Osdorf to the Lise Meitner Park and along the DESY to the Altonaer Volkspark. This park, which I have only visited marginally so far, is the largest park in Hamburg with over 200 hectares.Large areas of this park are forested and relatively natural. Despite the cloudy weather, it was very busy in places. If it sprouts, greens and blossoms there in the summer months, I will probably "haunt" it again during the week.

From Aumühle today I went on a circular hike through the more southerly and partly still unknown part of the Sachsenwald. After a short distance along the country road you come to the Sachsenwald. Snake path, past the climbing park, Friedrichsruh with its historical sights, the Schneckenberg as well as the Aumühle forest cemetery and the mill pond were on the route. The forest paths were like the current April weather: partly interesting and varied, partly monotonous and a bit muddy. This part of the Sachsenwald doesn't seem to be that crowded and I was able to relax my mind very well.
