Short Sunday walk (which was actually a little longer) through the colorful autumn forest of Wehrda. There are great forest trails here that I will definitely be cycling next year.

To bridge the waiting time, I took this little tour of Sickels. I passed some older buildings that have been lovingly restored. Two or three new roundabouts, such as B. the helicopter roundabout and the grounds of the Fulda Exhibition Center were also on my route. The new "Fulda Galerie" building area is very extensive. On my running route alone, I noticed 2 or even 3 new kindergartens.

The great autumn weather attracted me to this hike. This time it went through the beautiful forest on the Hühnerberg. It was dry from above, but the forest paths were muddy in places, especially since tree trunks had only recently been pushed onto piles with heavy forest machines.
The Hühnerberg lies between Burghaun and Rothenkirchen. The mountain top is wooded and criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails. The fertile soil between the village of Burghaun and the forest is cultivated by the local farmers. So far, the Association for the Preservation of the Cultural Landscape at the Hühnerberg e. V. use successfully.
The Mariengrotte von Burghaun is also located here in the forest.

Another opportunity for our little granddaughter to practice cycling. We also took a bag with us, in which she could stow the chestnuts, acorns and the most beautiful little stones that she had collected along the way.

I used the traffic-calmed section of the Haunetalradweg, between the Breit and the Salzborn near Rothenkirchen, to practice cycling with my granddaughter (3 years). Driving straight ahead works quite well. Starting off, braking and cornering still takes some practice.

This tour initially led over the Haunetal cycle path to Almendorf. From there I followed the Milseburgradweg to Elters. Due to time constraints, I had to cancel the larger lap that was actually planned there. That's why I took the shortcut and drove on public roads via Wittges, Weihershof and Hofbieber to Morles. From Morles I was able to use the Nüsttal cycle path to Hünfeld.
Then we went back to Burghaun on the skittles cycle path.

Now the beautiful days will soon be over. The last rays of the sun have to be used. What better way to do this than to take a lap around Lake Pfordter and let your mind wander by the water.

Birgit and Albert were on this tour. The route ran to Wenigentaft on the Kegelspielradweg. And from there to Buttlar on the Ulstertal cycle path. From Buttlar we rode the bike path on the former railway line to Dermbach. Passing the Sängerwiese, this cycle path climbs continuously. The goal should actually be a mountain above Dermbach. But, because the time was already advanced and we were expected in Großentaft for coffee and cake, we had turned between Oechsen and Oberalba and started the journey home. With the delicious cake in mind, we had pedaled hard - what can I say, it was worth it.

I took this tour to get the rear brake pads free. These are brake pads that I had already taken out of service because at the beginning of the previous season they only squeaked and had practically no braking effect. With long and intensive braking, I have now gotten a good grip again.
