The Shepherd's Tower, also known as the Town Wall Corner Tower, is a late medieval building on what is now Ernstplatz in Coburg. In its original function, the tower served as a prison, later (until 1895) it was the residence of the town shepherd. The main grazing area for the citizens' cattle was the nearby Ketschenanger. The historical significance of the Shepherd's Tower goes back to times long past. It is not possible to visit the tower.
