Since the railway lines around Gößnitz train station were opened at the weekend, I was finally able to make my way to Bad Köstritz. I wanted to take a look at the dahlias this late summer. They bloomed in great diversity. I only show a small selection here.

On my way back from Neudorf in the Erzgebirge, I stopped in Chemnitz and waited for darkness to fall.
The light show began at 7:30 p.m. on the last day of the 3-day event. 7 points of contact were on the program.

Neudorf was my destination and especially the soup museum. But first explore the Neudorf area with the short moor path. It was very quiet here. Completely different when I came back into Neudorf. I could barely get across the street because there were so many cars on the road. A bus group also has a…

Originally I had a different goal, but the railway and its construction sites. Then I didn't feel like waiting two hours for the next train and decided to explore Selb.
Definitely a good choice.

After arriving at the train station in Zittau, I took bus 1 to the zoo in Weinaupark.
This is 7 hectares in size and is home to around 380 animals of 70 species.

I took the steaming narrow-gauge railway to Oybin.
It took me exactly two hours for the rock tour that followed. I found the Chalice Stone impressive, as well as the fantastic view from the Scharfenstein.
We returned steaming at 25 degrees in the panoramic car.

At 9 a.m. I conquered Oybin Castle under a cloud-free sky. At this time, visitors were only gradually arriving. And the tour groups were laying siege to everything when I left the area. Everything done right. Clouds came up again at midday.
I walked through the forest for a while now. Always with your…

It was reported to be a sunny day with 20 degrees. Unfortunately nothing came of it on site. The sun simply couldn't prevail against the clouds.
After I bought some delicious homemade ice cream at the market and wanted to walk towards the lake, I didn't get very far. After a few meters I was totally surprised…

The cultural and environmental station is the attraction of our small Hanseatic city. “The most beautiful train station in the world” is a common saying from visitors who often stop off in Uelzen because of our Hundertwasser train station and explore the city from there. Shrubs sprout on the roofs, colorful…

Given the summer temperatures, it definitely had to be a forest tour. The decision fell on Halle's city forest. The first section of the Lutherweg continues along here, so to speak, on the outer edge to Lieskau.
The paths are very easy to walk on and very shady. Only once was there a tree in the way…
