The Curt Mündel relief plaque is located directly on the rock at the observation point. Curt Mündel was born in Glogau, Silesia in 1852 and died in Strasbourg in 1906. He was a German bookseller and folklorist as well as the author of a guide to the Vosges. On the occasion of his 25th anniversary of membership of the Club des Vosges in 1897, he was named honorary president.
