St. Knud's Church is a Roman Catholic church.

The Catholic community was founded in Fredericia in 1650 with 2 priests of the Jesuit order. The first chapel/catholic church was built in Sjællandsgade in 1687. The current church was built in 1767. Miss Susanne Bianco, who was a member of the congregation, died in Mainz, Germany, leaving her great inheritance to the congregation - this was the basis for the new building.

In 1865, St. Knud's Church was allowed to build today's tower with two bells, which is also the only church within the ramparts with a real bell tower. Due to Fredericia's status as a fortified city, no buildings were allowed to have towers. During an attack, the towers could be used as targets for the cannons.

St. Knud's Church is the Catholic church in Fredericia and has a long history. The Catholic community was founded as early as 1674, and the first church was consecrated in 1767 on Sjællandsgade.

The church's architectural design is rather simple, as the Catholic community at that time was not allowed to proselytize and had to maintain a low profile. The church tower was added in 1865 and is the only church tower within the city walls.

The interior of the church is designed in the Rococo style, with an impressive altar and several historic paintings, including "The Good Shepherd" from 1688.

Today, the Catholic community in Fredericia has approximately 300 members, and the church is open by appointment only.
