Stockholm Cathedral is the oldest church in Stockholm (13th century) dedicated to St. Nicolaus. The church has a Baroque brick character from the outside and a primarily Gothic interior. The church is closely connected to the Royal Family so that many Royal Weddings and Funerals took place there (e.g. the wedding between Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling in 2010). The wooden sculpture Saint George and the Dragon and the oil-on-panel painting Vädersolstavlan are worth visiting.

Storkyrkan is the cathedral of Stockholm. The oldest evidence of the existence of this church dates from 1279.
The facades and tower were converted into Baroque style in the 18th century because the medieval appearance was disturbing, next to the Baroque royal castle.
Marriages of members of the Royal House are blessed here.
