Established as Royal Fruit Garden, Humlegården is nowadays one of the major parcs in Stockholm. The parc is home to the National Library of Sweden and the Linnémonumentet commemorating the Swedish botanist and zoologist Carl von Linné.
For kids, there is a wonderful playground with gates (with a toilet nearby), a table tennis plate and a skating area. For sport enthusiasts, there is an outdoor gym and a short distance running track.
It is popular place for people of the city to gather, play some viking chess (kubb) and enjoy the weather.
