Hiking

The Wasserwarte observation tower on the Langesbühl (699 m above sea level) offers excellent views of the wooded valley slopes of the West Franconian Forest. When the view is clear, you can see the mountain peaks of the Franconian Forest, Thuringian Forest and Fichtel Mountains. Looking to the west, it becomes clear why the western Franconian Forest has been a domain of loggers and raftsmen for centuries.
