Tips
As early as 1918, the "grandfather" - the then most powerful tree in the Franconian Forest with a height of over 41 meters and a circumference of 5.90 m - fell victim to a storm. Today nothing is seen from the tree, a refuge with an information board is still reminiscent of the former giant.The course is only a few meters away from the path, so that offers a little rest here.
