Hiking Highlight
The stamp office Bremer Hütte is located in Ilsetal above the Ilsefälle directly on the Heinrich-Heine-Weg. The first refuge was set up by Harz friends from Bremen. This was destroyed in a storm in 2008 and then rebuilt from the national park about 50 meters away. From the hut you have a wonderful view to Brocken.

Who does not like to see the Brocke from afar? However, I was amazed how close it seems to be here.

A big crossroad where you can rest and have a great distant view of the Brocken. The intersection distributes the paths in various directions.

The Bremer Hütte is well suited for a rest and is also a stamp office (HWN 6).
Unfortunately at the last visit the stamp was broken.

Unfortunately I did not take a picture, because I thought that there is definitely a highlight here. That's probably not the case.
The Bremer Hütte is just a GUARD HUT, not a restaurant! There is no toilet here!
For some people this might sound strange, but in the few minutes I spent sitting at the Bremer Hütte, there were several hiking groups who could not believe that there was neither food nor a toilet. Some hikers have even gone to the back of the lodge to make sure that there is not yet a secret food distribution there.
The attached picture was created directly below the hut ...

The Ilse flows for several kilometers in small cascades over large blocks of stone from Brocken down into the lowlands. Together with the damp and thereby heavily mossy forest, you get wild-romantic scenery.
