The sporty ascent to the Brocken. Exactly my thing.

Very nice hiking trail, but also very difficult to hike. Nature lovers get theirs
Costs. Good physical condition and sure footing are absolutely essential.

Better uphill than downhill, especially when it rains.

Eckerloch is awesome - you jump from stone to stone until you're either up or down ...

Shortest ascent to Brocken. He overcomes 500 meters in continuous increase, but the effort is rewarded by wonderful nature views. But: challenging - steeper, stone and root-rich climb over z.T. large stones of about 500 meters altitude.

The shortest but most strenuous and difficult ascent leads from Schierke over the Eckerloch. Please only walk with good footwear and (if possible) walking sticks. The path is characterized by many roots and boulders. Good condition is clearly an advantage for this route. Beware of bad weather. The likelihood of slipping and getting injured is very high and rescuing through the rough terrain is correspondingly difficult.
All fans of the Harz hiking pin will find one of the 222 stamps here at Eckerloch.

A natural path particularly similar peppered with large stones that must be overcome here and there. Good footwear required. You could also call it Bone Breaker Walk. 🙄😁

Somewhat more demanding route from Schierke to the Brocken summit. Beautiful, surefootedness required.

About 1 decade ago an unfamiliar picture due to a lot of dead wood. This opens up unimagined views in the direction of Wurmberg. Super as the self-rejuvenation in the forest progresses.

The way over the countless stones is high and also down very demanding. Especially if you have to torment on Sundays through the crowd.

The Eckerlochstieg is the only hiking trail that leads up the hill to the Brocken. The other three routes allowed by the National Park Administration are either gravel forest roads (Goetheweg), concrete supply routes of the former National Army (Heineweg) or paved roads (Brockenstraße). The Eckerlochstieg offers sensational insights into the age and decay phases of Brockenurwald.

The ascent is truly difficult. Be sure to bring sturdy shoes! City clothes and normal street shoes are not recommended. In some cases obstacles> 70 cm as well as mud holes have to be overcome. You will be rewarded with an extremely natural hiking route.

Very steep, stony and unfortunately dead spruce trees everywhere ... stay away from the hiking trails so that the forest naturally regresses again, which is already successful and visible in many places.

A very similar natural path peppered with large stones that have to be overcome here and there. Good footwear required. You could also call it Bone Breaker Path. 🙄😁

Very steep and stony passage. Sure-footedness and good footwear are a must here! But this climb to the Brocken is a highlight for every nature lover!
