Built as a widow's residence for Duchess Dorothea Sophie of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Owned by the city of Fürstenberg from 1916, privatized since 2006. Apart from some gutting work and partial demolition of dilapidated outbuildings, not much has happened so far.

Unfortunately not in good condition. A visit is not possible. You can see that some tried to secure something. Hopefully soon there will be a solution for the beautiful castle.
