Built as a widow's residence for Duchess Dorothea Sophie of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Owned by the city of Fürstenberg from 1916, privatized since 2006. Apart from some gutting work and partial demolition of dilapidated outbuildings, not much has happened so far.
