The former women's concentration camp and today the Ravensbrück Memorial is only partially preserved. The barracks are indicated. But what is standing - idyllically on the lake - are the stone buildings in which the wardens lived, they are partly inhabited today or a youth hostel. One of the villas, the driver's cabin, is now a museum. This is also where the entrance to the memorial is, if you come via the long-distance cycle path.

From 1942-45 there was a concentration camp (KZ) for young people in the forest next to the cycle path. Here young women and girls were held captive and tortured under cruel circumstances. More information on the information board.
