The Karlsruhe State Mint is one of the five state mints in which the German euro coins are minted. Coins from Karlsruhe bear the letter of origin "G". The Karlsruhe Mint was founded in 1827 and has been trading with the Stuttgart Mint since 1998 under the name Staatliche Münzen Baden-Württemberg.

The State Mint of Baden-Württemberg, Karlsruhe location, is one of a total of five state mints in Germany that, in addition to Karlsruhe, also exist in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart. None of the five gold or silver coins can be obtained directly. The sales point for collector coins of the FRG in Weiden is responsible for this.
