Hiking Highlight
The Junkernschänke is one of the oldest houses in Göttingen, it was built until 1452. However, the building did not receive the magnificent façade until the Renaissance around 1547. As of Feb. 2018, the gastronomy "Bacon Supreme" is located in Junkernschänke.

Built in 1446 as a Gothic half-timbered house, rebuilt in the Renaissance style in 1547/49. Magnificent carvings with motifs from the Bible, the corner post depicts the builder and his wife.Today there is a restaurant in the Junkernschänke.
