Hiking
The historic smithy, which is located in the middle of Richardplatz, was first mentioned in 1624. It originally belonged to a blacksmith from Berlin who came here once a week. In 1797, a blacksmith settled here, and his descendants ran the smithy for over 150 years. It is still in operation, although mainly in the artistic and restoration sector; the "Women's Meeting Point Blacksmith" is located in the blacksmith's former home. The smithy takes part in the traditional Alt-Rixdorf Christmas market every year.
