It did not become a group outing. One half of my cycling group had other appointments, the other half scheduled shortly u.a. because of the weather reversal. So I'm on my own: test drive! For a group trip with arrival from Bielefeld the tour would have been a little long.
I liked it in any case, as the photos are easy to recognize. I like this mood in the country. The nature reserve Versmolder Bruch has impressed me very much. I have seen many herons and birds that I am not familiar with. That's why I climbed onto a small lookout that Richie has worked on his tour. The part of Feldmarksee was rather unpleasant. I have fled too many Sunday trippers of all stripes and coffee on the lake. "Home port" instills me by the name little confidence. It felt tight and stuffy, the waitress did not have time to fill up my water bottle.Later, I treated myself to a well-kept coffee and cake at Schloss Harkotten in the coat of arms.Stupid only that it gets dark so early now. For Bad Laer, I no longer had the time and the peace to get an impression. The train at 18.00 o'clock I got well and was at 19.00 clock happy at home. For a group tour that I'm sure will catch up, I'll reduce the highlights and the track a bit and set the location for the rest. Thanks Richie for the suggestion!

It was announced a lot of sun and high temperatures and for a moment I doubted if the tour to sixth is a good idea for this day.
After the initially small inclines we made a long break at the Weser (Altes Fährhaus, Bad Oeynhausen), later we swam in the Werre and can definitely recommend the tour for group outings (also at other seasons)!

It was not really a cozy Sunday afternoon excursion. I've been on the road for a while, but I've gotten to know beautiful new trails and corners. To emphasize is the "Panoramaweg" around Borgholzhausen around. In the forest below the Luisenturm, I have made a little "change" because of the "shaky" GPS. The route from Borgholzhausen to Werther was new to me. I definitely want to go there again. Shortly before Werther, I dodged the road, a little tired from the ups and downs in the forest. From Werther I drove a little spectacular (but smooth!) Over the "black way" home. So: before the descend again something to revise!

This is only for initiates and jokers: Only the approach was by bike: We are with a canoe on the Spreeflassen in shared and unapproved waters (procedural!) Geschippert. We had to steer with the helm and the thing was not as easy as one might think. For the inexperienced we have beaten quite well and taken some obstacles. We recorded our "route" at first without intention, then with a wink.

Now it's exciting: We decide because of the heated, in places we are the torch sun totoal delivered, and for other reasons to leave the Oder-Neisse cycle path and turn off into the shadows in the Spreewald. But first let's take a look at the lignite mines. Unfortunately, our planned path, directly around the pit, does not exist anymore. The mining area (a single decay) has long been expanded. Nevertheless, we try to get as close as possible to the mining area and land first on the construction site, then in the deserted, totally dry forest (spooky) and finally on the freeway. Shit happens ... The following hours we have approached more and more the cooling towers, where the lignite is then burned for energy. It has to go differently .... Gradually we got back under the wheels and were compensated in our accommodation right on the Bismarck tower in castle with beer garden and open-air folk music.

We happily stay on the Oder-Neiße cycle path, visit the castle in Bad Muskau, visit the museum including an exhibition by a modern Polish artist (Aleksandra Manczak). We enjoy the vastness of the castle park and the culinary offerings. Then we continue to Forst, where we search for a while for a suitable accommodation.
