The Friedrich Teutsch meeting and cultural center is a relatively new facility of the Evangelical Church in Romania. The center was opened in 2003 and is known in Sibiu simply as the Teutsch House. Its four pillars are: the central archive of the Evangelical Church with archive library, the regional church museum, the terrace hall as an event venue and St. John's Church. The Teutsch House also houses a number of other ecumenical and cultural offerings, such as a German-language bookstore with a café and the Institute for Ecumenical Research.

There is a bookstore and a café here, and children can play outside. The Germans AND Romanians meet here to chat. At the same time there are many different cultural events.
