There are well-known Berlin-Brandenburg hikers who praise the Sutschketal as "one of the most beautiful things Brandenburg has to offer". So of course I had to check it - and unfortunately I can't sign it. It is only a small area, although pretty and on the east side with an enchanted riverside path, but the west side of the Krummen See is built up so that the shore is privatized and the hiker has to walk on roads. I find that IMPOSSIBLE! How can you come up with the idea of selling property on the lake? It's just a mess. At least the bank should be open to the public. Therefore I think - with my modest knowledge of the Brandenburg stream, river and lake landscape - that there are far more beautiful hiking trails. In detail: Sutschkesee, Krummer See and In den Eiskuten.

Nice little Friday afternoon round! Last ran in April or so. Very pleasant!
In the LOS, kilometer-long massive fences are set up against African swine fever. Warning: some paths are blocked!

It's hard to believe it's the end of November! Bright sunshine! But it's getting colder ...
As always, a short Friday afternoon hike, the usual swimming is not necessary until further notice ... But this walk through the Schlaubetal also sets the mood for the weekend.

Another golden November day! So nüscht how out! Visited some of the Dahme lakes, namely Huschtesee, Schmöldesee, Hölzerner See, Förstersee, Frauensee and took a look at the Langen See. Very nice path, pleasant to walk up to the piece, about 2 km, from the main road to the Frauensee, because 5 cars drove there to park directly on the lake. It's only after a hike like this that you realize how bad the cars smell. (I have one myself, but don't park in the middle of the forest.)
Particularly interesting was the Förstersee, which is hardly accessible; a particularly large number of birds could be observed there.
21 people met, almost all of them at the Frauensee.
And lunch is secured with 4 beautiful porcini mushrooms (without maggots!).
      Off to the desk!

Quickly turned a lap before dark to savor the sun and celebrate the weekend. The Falkenhagener Rinne is always beautiful.

That was a real 5 star hike today. Liebenberg Castle has been wonderfully restored, and there is now a hotel there; the park is being maintained and restored, partly according to plans by Lenné. There are interesting boards and hands-on activities and tasks for children up to about 12 years of age, and a "forest of the century" will be created because all the "trees of the year" will be planted and described. Someone is trying! (Of course, we learn, Fontane was also here.)
I haven't seen so many old oaks for a long time, it was a pleasure. Not only because of the benevolent sun today - there is simply an old tree population with lots of oaks, beeches and some (younger) birches, etc. Very varied! I found the old oak avenue, called "Kaiserallee", to be the most beautiful. The lakes: Weißer See, Moddersee, Papensee, Kleiner Lankesee, Großer Lankesee and three NLS all invited to be admired with very well-kept paths, mostly right on the water. A great and warmly recommended hike!
But arriving and departing by car were also wonderful, because you drive from the FfO area, if you avoid the autobahn like me, through the most beautiful colorful forests and avenues. Brandenburg is a pearl!

Quickly one more lap before dark. Always nice there! Especially when you can walk through the dry, rustling leaves.

Despite the stupid working and attendance times at the moment, I still managed a little tour through the Frankfurt city forest! The sun was doing its best, but it's already quite cold; the porcini mushrooms can no longer stand it, but the chestnuts can still bear the temperatures.

After I recently canceled the hike due to rain, today it is (almost) complete. It is very november outside; the paths are sodden and slippery, which is why I saved the path around the Weinbergsee.
Most beautiful autumn colors of the foliage! And the real purpose of the hike was to admire the bald cypress trees in their colored outfit. Nó!

Completion of the excursion to the Harz Mountains to assess the world cultural heritage of mining and water art around the ponds near Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Very interesting and impressive what people built there from the 17th century! And it is remarkable how this legacy is still maintained today. Thank you to those who devised and organized such informative paths and maps!
