Best Hikes to Lock 100 of the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal

Tips

  • Last of the locks of the old Ludwig-Main-Danube Canal built under King Ludwig I from 1836 - 1845.

Lock 100 is still active today for pleasure boats and canoes and is operated by hand. It also helps to regulate the water level in the left arm of the Regnitz. The idyllic lock keeper's house has also been preserved.

A particularly beautiful place in beautiful Bamberg. 👍
