You may be able to spot the Kingfisher here. The kingfisher digs tunnels for its nest in the banks. In places where the stream regularly overflows its banks, specific habitats with their own flora can arise.
The small Kloosterbeekbos is in recovery because it is heavily polluted. Natuurpunt is doing everything possible to improve water quality.

The Kloosterbeek, which originates in Kobbegem, is a side stream of the Grote Molenbeek, with which it together forms the Vliet, which then flows into the Rupel.
