Since 1927, the Überseebrücke has led from Vorsetzen to floating pontoons, which lie in the Elbe fairway and thus enable larger ships to moor close to the city. The bridge was built by H.C.E. on behalf of the Hamburg Süd shipping company. Eggers, which was already specialized in steel structures at that time.
