The Stadthausbrücke bridge was named after the town hall located on its eastern side. Completed in 1889, the structure connects Hamburg's old and new towns. The bridge spans the Bleichenfleet canal, which is only visible from the western side of the bridge. The approximately 230-meter-long street with the official street code S581, which runs over the bridge and from Neuer Wall to Axel-Springer-Platz, is named after the bridge.
