    Valerius Gate

    Like the Matthias Gate, the baroque Valerius Gate served to delimit the area of immunity. The figure standing in the middle above the gate was made in 1777 from Lahn marble of the variety "Kissel" and represents the second Bishop of Trier, Valerius (died 320), who was important for Villmar.
