Very nice tour in wonderful weather on the Rheinsteig from Lorch to Kaub.ATTENTION, the way to the Nollig ruin leads through alpine terrain where you should be sure-footed and free from giddiness. Along the ropes you can pull yourself up close to the abyss ... Actually this path is blocked ... you can also take a "detour".The way back from Kaub to Lorch leads a whole 7 km along the Rhine but also directly on the B9 (I mean B42 - thanks Rheingauner) ... not really nice. Here's the best headphones and just look at the Rhine :)

A really very nice tour in beautiful (almost too hot) weather. However, people who are afraid of heights should think twice about hiking this route. Especially the descent from Nassau Castle deep into the valley was not without. Very steep and very tricky to walk in 2-3 places. The climb to the High Lay was almost critical for me (suffering from extreme fear of heights). Very narrow paths directly on the slope. Especially with "oncoming traffic" it was very "cozy";) The view from the Hohe Lay was worth all the "stress" :)

It was (unfortunately) not a nice tour. Anyone who wants to see something on his tours (like me) should not hike this tour. But if someone attaches great importance to beautiful nature then this way could be something for him :)Kransberg Castle is privately owned so that you can only admire it from the outside. Otherwise the best thing about this (or after the) tour was the falafel at SAHIN DÖNER in Usingen;)

A very nice tour in wonderful weather. The Eltviller Rheinufer invites you to linger so that you have to think twice whether you want to go further towards Eberbach Abbey or just stay here :) In the morning still nice and empty, on the way back (despite Covid19) quite full.Unfortunately the Eltville castle was still closed, the Eltville tower was renovated and the basilica in the Eberbach monastery was restored, but despite everything it was fun :)I would walk the last part of Erbach differently since it leads along Eltviller Straße all the time. In Erbach just walk straight towards the Rhine and enjoy the banks of the Rhine instead of breathing in the exhaust fumes from the cars :)Of course, Kommot (as has been the case lately) has jumbled the photos. It's getting really annoying :(
