Today a small zoo circuit with an extension. The zoo is particularly worthwhile at the moment, all animals have young and they are really beautiful to look at. Unfortunately, my back is twinging after Ireland and I didn't want to overdo it, so today "Hiking in moderation". Have a nice Sunday everyone

Short quick round from Dehrn due to lack of time.

With appointments in Limburg, the round nearby was suitable.



Particularly beautiful are Dehrn Castle and the view of St. Lubentius Church from the Kurt van der Burg Bridge.

Home has us again.

Landed last night, slept well and only got away late today.

That's why only a short round in the home region.



But the sun and bright blue sky did us good.

Not a hike but an active day to Skellig Island on Derrynane beach.

A fantastic beach with views over the bay and Derrynane Abbey.



We only managed to get our feet wet, others were actually swimming in the icy waters.

Today's loop was chosen very deliberately to see the Skellig Islands - the filming location for Star Wars - specifically Skellig Michael.

Today was forecast to be sunny and it was worth driving all the way out here.

Today, a storm is forecast. In the news and from the locals, we are warned not to go out. From 2 PM, storm "Dave" is expected to pass over the island with gusts of up to 108 km/h and very heavy rainfall. If the locals are staying home, then one should take that into consideration 😉

For the 900th tour, the sun shone brightly today.

For this, we chose something special, a visit to Ross Castle.

The tourist highlight in the region and truly worth every cent.

We listened to the history of the castle in a guided tour and were thrilled by the architecture and the background.

Today in full rain, we chose a smaller loop with fewer ascents for relaxation.

Relaxation was fitting, but the ascents were still present.



In this weather, we got a good shower on the heights. The wind is ice-cold and biting.
