Whiteside is a 2,359-foot (707 m) Wainwright in the Lake District National Park. It is connected to Hopegill Head via an airy ridge which is not technical to hike but is very dramatic and can be challenging in strong winds. A nice circuit is to walk Whiteside, Hopegill Head and Grasmoor together from the road beside Crummock Water.

If you are doing the Grasmoor Round then Whiteside will more than likely be your first hill. It's a good steep ascent from the car park down below. I measured it to be 2.3km with 544m of ascent. Should be achievable to the fit hill walker within the hour. Whiteside is also a UK designated Nuttall.
Whiteside offers a stunning view of both Crummock Water and the ridge line looking up to Hopegill Head
