Whitehaven Wander and visit to Nao Santa Maria
A visit to Whitehaven to see the Nao Santa Maria, a replica of Christopher Columbus’s ship in which he discovered the New World in 1492.
It is moored in Whitehaven harbour until August 10th.

A wander around town with a visit to Wordsworth House Garden
We like to visit Wordsworth House Garden as often as we can, usually for less than 15 minutes, so we can see the changes through the seasons but also because the house gets £8.02 from the NT every time we do so, and it costs us nothing.

Haystacks and Buttermere circular including Warnscale Head and Gatesgarth Farm, from Buttermere.
A walk to introduce some German friends to the English Lake District.
We started in Buttermere and followed the south lake shore, then the path up to Scarth Gap.

Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Base Brown, Green Gable and Great Gable from Honister Pass
