The Mummelsee Gate (or Portal) is one of 12 gates on the famous Westweg, the long-distance hiking trail through the Black Forest. You can also stamp your tour at this gate. The Black Forest Tourism Association issues a Westweg stamp card, which hikers or cyclists can then stamp on the card at all Westweg portals. Anyone who has collected at least 9 of the 12 different stamps can then pick up a Westweg scarf from the tourist information offices.
