On a rustic Holzbohlensteg it goes through the moor on the Hornisgrinde.

Even in winter, when you do not see much of the moor, ..... the air is clear and the snow crunches. Definitely worth a visit!

Partly beautiful, wide Holzbohlenweg through the moor with wonderful views of the eastern side of the Black Forest, in a westerly direction in the Rhine valley, south with good visibility to the Alps. It is especially worthwhile to climb the lookout tower.

A relatively short but very nice plank path between the Dreifürstenstein and the Bismarkturm.

With a cloudless sky you have a wonderful view in all directions and with inversion weather you can look from above on a sea of clouds.

The Hornisgrinde is 1163 m the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest.
My favorite time is autumn, when in inversion weather the Rhine Valley is filled with fog and you can walk even in the warm sun.

Is always worth a visit. Especially in nice weather. But also recommended in winter.

Here you can circle the top of the Hornisgrinde and on the west side you have a great view over the low lying Rhine Valley all the way to the Vosges. On the east side offers the beautiful view over the Black Forest.
The path is in any case more beautiful than the paved road past the radio tower.

Oh, what's going on here? The Westweg? :-)
People, go out and enjoy nature. Not on the weekend and see for yourself.

A really nice path along the moor. There are also from time to time very informative and beautifully designed information boards. Not just for kids!
