So. Some more interesting things about this "Gingerbread Town"
Competitors of Czech kings. The fact is that the founders of the city were the Vitkovich family, a clan of the nobles from Krumlov. After their death, the city was inherited by Rosenberg, who were great rivals of the Czech kings. Therefore, they built Krumlov, competing with Prague, and in Cesky Krumlov, as well as in Prague, there is a church of St. Vita, Dlouh, Shiroka and Panska streets, and the castle - the second largest in the Czech Republic ... The only difference is that the Czech capital is home to over a million people, and in the South Bohemian district town of Krumlov - only 13.5 thousand.
Those who have visited this city remember the old local legends heard here.
One of the popular legends is associated with the Panenská street in Krumlov, in translation - Maiden. Legend has it that if an unmarried girl who has lost her innocence or a woman who is unfaithful to her husband passes along it in a certain direction, then at the end of the street her legs will turn black. So be careful! :)

This arched viaduct was built high above a narrow connecting canal, which - equipped with a weir - shortens a loop of the Vltava. Horní Street leads over the bridge from the city theater to the regional museum. The locals call the canal cut "Myši dira", or mouse hole.

From the public car park (charges apply/day ticket is unfortunately very expensive) you can reach the city wall in just a few minutes and immediately get a unique view of the old town.
