This beautiful vantage point is something very special. It lies in the middle of a rock face and can only be reached through a cave-like passage, the Hohle Kirche. If you have crossed this cave with a little stoop (only about 1.60 meters high), you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Upper Trubach Valley to Wolfsberg and the Lower Trubach Valley to Egloffstein.

From Untertrubach up the mountain to the Burggraf you pass the imposing climbing rock "Fürther Turm". Once at the top, you stand on the camp of Burgrave Friedrich von Nürnberg, who besieged Eggloffstein, Wolfsberg and Leienfels. The Burggraf section fortification, also known as Burggrafenstein or Furchste, is a defunct prehistoric or early medieval section fortification on a mountain spur that is bounded north by the Trubach valley near Untertrubach and west by the Großenoher valley near Dörnhof.
The "Hohlkirche" is also located on the hill. If you go through this opening, you have a wonderful view of the Trubachtal, Wolfsberg and Untertrubach. It was probably also a burgrave's lookout point. So he had the whole valley in view.
